Driving Without Insurance, Speeding Violations Dismissed

Sep 16 2015 in Case Results, DUI, Traffic Offenses

Our Pittsburgh criminal defense attorneys have experience representing clients with speeding violations and other traffic offenses. Recently our offices were contacted by a 49-year-old man charged with speeding, driving without insurance and driving under suspended for DUI-related. Thinking he could handle this case on his own, the man went to court but was found guilty and sentenced with jail time. At this point, our firm received a call from him. We were hired for appeal in Allegheny County. Based on the given facts, attorney Samir Sarna determined the officer did not have a right to stop his vehicle for speeding. He concluded that he could not accurately quantify his speed. The judge agreed and all three charges were dismissed.

With some limited criminal history in Buffalo, she contacted Worgul, Sarna & Ness, Criminal Defense Attorneys, LLC for legal counsel. The woman lives a quiet life on her farm and keeps to herself. She couldn’t afford a plane ticket. Criminal defense attorney Samir Sarna was able to waive her preliminary hearing by paper so she was not required to go to court. Her case was taken to Phoenix Court because it was a low-level case. She was given probation without a verdict for six months. At the end of this time, as long as she stays out of trouble, Allegheny County will expunge the charge from her record.
