Man Charged With Simple Assault In Dispute, Case Dismissed

A veteran of the Navy and current recruiter at a local college in Pittsburgh got into a dispute with his wife one night at their house. The couple has two kids together. The man took the oldest child and left the house. The wife claims he pulled out a gun, pointed it at her and threatened her in front of their kids. He was charged with simple assault, a 2nd degree misdemeanor, and terroristic threats, a 1st degree misdemeanor.

Pittsburgh criminal defense attorney Samir Sarna was hired to represent the man. We had two court dates and at the second hearing, the judge agreed there wasn’t a case. It was dismissed.

The outcome of an individual case depends on a variety of factors unique to that case. Case results do not guarantee or predict a similar result in any similar or future case.
