Man Driving 100 MPH In Classic Camaro Receives Reduced Offense

A 49-year-old man recently restored a 1973 classic Camaro and took it to a car show. On the way home, the man was cited for driving 100 mph in a 55 mph zone. The man went to the magistrate’s office on his own to fight this five-point charge, however, his attempts were unsuccessful. Looking for a way out of a potential two-week license suspension and fees, the man reached out to Worgul, Sarna & Ness, Criminal Defense Attorneys, LLC for help in this serious speeding citation.

With the dedicated help of attorney Matthew Ness, our client filed a summary appeal in the Court of Common Pleas. Attorney Ness explained his circumstances to the judge and advocated on his behalf that this was a one-time mistake, unlikely to occur again based on his clean driving record. The man saw a reduced offense of 10 mph over. He went from five points down to only two points on his driving record and is able to continue driving his classic car.

The outcome of an individual case depends on a variety of factors unique to that case. Case results do not guarantee or predict a similar result in any similar or future case.
