Man On Probation Receives No Jail Time For New Charges

A Mercer County man in his late twenties with multiple priors, was on probation when he was charged with five 2nd degree felony counts of fleeing, five 1st degree misdemeanor counts of access device fraud, two felony theft counts, one misdemeanor theft count, and one 1st degree misdemeanor count of receiving stolen property. The man turned to Pittsburgh criminal defense attorney Samir Sarna for help in his situation. Samir got every charge withdrawn except for misdemeanor theft, to which he pleaded guilty. Our client was in jail so we had a detainer hearing where we were able to get the judge to lift the detainer and go home to his family within only a week of him hiring us. The man received no further penalty on his current probation but left with a new sentence of probation rather than going to jail, which were positive results for him.
