Abuse of a Corpse Charges Dropped Against University Student
Our client, a 19-year-old University of Pittsburgh student from California, was charged with abuse of a corpse, accused of inappropriate behavior with a university medical cadaver. In a hearing with the Fifth Judicial District of Pennsylvania in Allegheny County, we argued there wasn’t sufficient evidence to charge our client with the abuse of a corpse charge.
During cross-examination, we were able to ascertain that the investigation was insufficient. The judge agreed, and the case was dismissed through procedure.
