Man Charged With Two Traffic Violations Gets Case Withdrawn

A 52-year-old retired man from the Peters Township area was recently charged with two traffic violations. He was charged with careless driving and following too closely, both of which are three-point offenses. With six points already on his record, he was facing at least a 15-day license suspension and having to retake the Pennsylvania driver’s exam.

Our client was also accused of hitting someone, creating another small issue. Pittsburgh criminal attorney Matthew Ness facilitated the transfer of insurance information to the victim and the situation was quickly resolved. As a result, the police officer agreed to withdraw both citations. Our client pled guilty to a lesser offense with no points. He was let off easy with only a fine.
